Longtime collaborators, fortepianist Boyd McDonald, accordionist Joseph Petric and engineer/ electroacoustic musician Peter Lutek congregate around the keyboard music of Joseph Haydn on this new two-disc affair.

Veteran performers McDonald and Petric each furnish parallel explorations of the same three Haydn pieces, each bringing their own interpretive sensibilities and the distinctive sonorities of their respective instruments. Meanwhile, producer Peter Lutek presents Sintering, a beguiling 27-minute electroacoustic work that posits various connections between these two interpretations that repurposes/ digitally manipulates both the primary recordings as well as audio ephemera excavated from the recording sessions. Together, these three disparate elements form a distinctive and engaging whole that probes new curiosities and poses pertinent questions for Haydn devotees, while also opening up inspiring pathways for the uninitiated.
