ABOUT: Celebrated Halifax-based cellist and composer India Gailey‘s first recording for Redshift Records, the intimate to you through (out May 13th, 2022) showcases her unique sensitivity as an interpreter, performer and composer. Its six varied pieces occupy a satisfyingly cohesive arc that fully embraces the textural and expressive capacity of her instrument. The disc juxtaposes works by younger-generation North American composers such as Fjóla Evans, Yaz Lancaster, Anne Leilehua Lanzilotti, and Gailey herself alongside selections from Michael Gordon and Philip Glass
